AT&T resumes rolling out Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4

A few days back AT&T had started rolling out the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S4 in the US, only to pull it a couple of days later after a few devices that received the update started facing issues.

Now about a week later, the company has started rolling out a new build, hopefully having fixed whatever issues that were present in the previous update.

The update will upgrade your Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3, along with adding features such as Galaxy Gear support, Samsung Knox support, Group Play 2.5, Samsung Apps, drag and drop to uninstall or disable applications and call reliability improvements.

The update is 719MB in size and is now rolling out to the S4 in the US.

Off-contract Moto X will get a $150 price cut on Cyber Monday

Motorola will be offering the contract-free Android 4.4 KitKat booting Moto X with a substantial discount on Cyber Monday. The US manufacturer announced on its official Google+ account that it will be selling its flagship smartphone with a hefty $150 off its regular price.

The one-day only pricing means that users will be able to snag a 16GB Moto X for $349.99. The 32GB version will be offered at $399.99. The discount will be available for any off-contract Moto X, including the Developer edition, as well as personalized devices.

The new one-day pricing puts the Moto X in the same territory as the LG Nexus 5. Not nearly as powerful as the Nexus 5, the Moto X will entice potential users with infinite customization options, as well as superb ergonomics.

Apple's minimalist iPhone 5S allegedly takes 600 workers to build

Apple's minimalist iPhone 5S allegedly takes 600 workers to build
The S doesn't stand for simplified

Apple is known for being a minimalistic company, but the number of assembly line workers it takes to build an iPhone is becoming increasingly complex.

The more intricate iPhone 5S is said to have 600 assembly workers on each production line at Foxconn manufacturing facilities, according a report by the Wall Street Journal.

"We have been churning out about 500,000 iPhone 5Ss everyday, the highest daily output ever," said an unnamed Foxconn executive to the paper.

By comparison, the less complicated, Touch ID-lacking iPhone 5 and the unapologetically plastic iPhone 5C are said to need 100 fewer workers. That's still a staggering 500 people per production line.

Wait times drop

With around-the-clock assembly lines producing one million iPhone 5S units every two days, the wait times for the new iPhone have dropped significantly.

You can now find an iPhone 5S in just about every Apple Store and it's available to ship within three to five business days online after quickly selling out at launch.

Even the once-precious gold model is readily available thanks to Foxconn's 500,000 a day figure, which is said to have put the plant at full capacity.

The supply has caught up to demand so much that we're starting to see certain retailers drop the price of the more expensive iPhone 5S ahead of Black Friday deals.
