Samsung Galaxy Express to hit shelves November 16

The Samsung Galaxy Express midrange LTE-powered droid exclusive to AT&T is expected to become available for $99.99 with a two year contract starting Nov. 16.

The Samsung Galaxy Express will feature a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen of 480 x 800 pixel resolution, dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, 5MP camera all powered by a 2000 mAh battery. It will ship with Android 4.0 ICS out of box.

No word yet on when its (also AT&T exclusive) LTE sibling, the Galaxy Rugby Pro, will hit shelves, but we expect it to be sooner rather than later.

AT&T to sell off-contract Nokia Lumia 920 for $450, 820 for $400

Yesterday, AT&T announced the on-contract pricing of three of its incoming Windows Phone 8 handsets, including the Nokia Lumia 920 (they have exclusivity on this one in the US) and the Lumia 820.

Today they put those two up for pre-order and revealed the off-contract prices of these phones. The Lumia 920 will set you back $450 (or $100 with a 2-year contract), while the Nokia Lumia 820 is a bit cheaper at $400 ($50 with a 2-year contract).

The HTC Windows Phone 8X is not available for pre-order for now, so we don't know its off-contract pricing just yet.

HTC Windows Phone 8X UK sales start

The HTC Windows Phone 8X signature device is up for sale in the UK on both Unlocked Mobiles and Clove. Off contract, it's priced £398.98 and £399.98 respectively, inclusive of VAT.

The device was on track to go on sale on November 2 so it's nice to see there weren't any delays.

The unlocked Windows Phone 8X's will work on all UK networks, except EE's LTE. As a refresher, it features a 4.3" 720p display with an impressive 342 ppi, an two wide-angle cameras, Windows Phone 8, dual-core Krait processor and more.

Her majesty’s secret smartphone, the Sony Xperia TL, coming to AT&T Nov. 2 for $100

The Sony Xperia TL will be available on AT&T from November 2 for $100 on a two-year contract. The new phone will be featured in the new Bond movie Skyfall and comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera.

We covered the announcement of the Sony Xperia TL on AT&T and now we can bring you the details on the release date and price. AT&T has just revealed that the “James Bond” smartphone which features in the new Bond movie Skyfall can be snapped up for $100 on a two-year contract.

The big selling point, beyond the Bond product placement, is the 13-megapixel camera which is super-fast – capable of going from standby to capturing a shot in 1.5 seconds flat. There’s also HD video recording and a snazzy 4.6-inch HD Bravia-branded “Reality Display” to enjoy your footage on.

Throw in “One-touch connectivity” powered by NFC, which allows you to share content across multiple devices (provided they are NFC-enabled, of course). There’s also 4G LTE connectivity, HDMI, DLNA support, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, which adds up to a fairly decent looking Android phone. Pity it’s shipping with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich); you’d expect Bond to demand the latest version of Android, although Q promises an Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update shortly.

Motorola RAZR i comes to UK both on and off contract

The Motorola RAZR i is now available in the UK for free on a contract courtesy of T-Mobile and Orange, while retailers such as Clove, Unlocked Mobiles and at Amazon offer it SIM free for around £340.

Orange is willing to give you the RAZR i for free on a two-year deal starting from £31 a month while T-Mobile is subsidizing its price down to nothing with its £26 a month two-year commitments.

If you want to sidestep the binding contracts you could opt for a SIM-free Motorola RAZR i from Amazon (with very limited stock) for £349.99, Clove for £342 and Unlocked Mobiles for £334.98.

The Motorola RAZR i has a single-core Intel Atom processor on tap, which is clocked at 2 GHz, a 4.3" Super AMOLED Advanced screen of qHD (540 x 960) resolution, an 8 MP snapper and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. There's an eye-catching Kevlar-covered back panel too.
