HTC One is available in the US on Amazon, costs an arm and a leg

The HTC One launch was delayed in most countries, but several units have made their way to the US, it’s currently available for purchase on Amazon at prices starting from $850 (though prices as low as $800 have been seen).

The seller offering the One for $850 lists it as backordered and promises to “provide estimate shipping date soon”. Two other sellers are offering the HTC flagship at $900 but the shipping time is listed as 6-10 days, which begins to border the official US launch very closely.

AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint are accepting pre-orders and will make the phone available on April 19. AT&T is asking $200 for the 32GB model and $300 for the 64GB model (both on contract).

Sprint will also bring the $200 32GB model on the 19th, while T-Mobile hasn’t announced an official launch date but will ask $99 for the phone plus 24 payments of $20 ($580 in total). Note that a Developer Edition (carrier unlocked, 64GB storage) has been announced for $650.

Finally, one Amazon seller is offering the HTC One with 1-2 days shipping time, but its asking $1,180 for it, so we’d recommend waiting for the official launch.
